THE QUESTIONS

FAQs

If you struggle with any part of the framework, you can contact me. I’ll help you understand what is getting in the way and guide you through how to approach it differently.

If it would help, we can work through it together live by video, just as I would with a face-to-face client.

Arguing doesn’t necessarily mean Better At Us isn’t right for you. What matters is whether, even when things become difficult, you’re both able to stay in the conversation or come back to it afterwards and continue working things through.

If one or both of you regularly becomes so triggered that conversations end and you’re unable to return to them, another form of support may be more appropriate.

If you’re unsure, we can talk about this during your free 30-minute call and decide whether Better At Us is right for your needs.

It doesn’t matter if one of you is more enthusiastic than the other. What matters is that you’re both willing to try and engage with the work.

If your partner starts but later decides not to continue, you can still carry on learning and developing the knowledge and skills yourself. You can bring what you learn into your relationship, although your partner won’t have had the same opportunity to understand and practise it themselves.

A relationship may be in crisis if either of you is uncertain whether you want to remain together, or if what needs resolving feels too difficult to work through without a professional present.

In those circumstances, Better At Us may not be the right form of support at that point in your relationship.

Everything in Better At Us comes from what I’ve learned over more than 15 years and the work I do with couples in my face-to-face practice.

My face-to-face clients work with the same relationship knowledge, practical skills and exercises. The main difference is that they receive what is relevant to them as we work together over time, whereas you receive the complete framework from the beginning.

And you’re not simply left with the materials. You receive my professional guidance too, and if you get stuck, you can contact me.

Better At Us gives you the opportunity to do much of the same work yourselves at home, with professional support when you need it.
